Ian Lee is a spatial designer and researcher with over a decade of experience working in the field of commercial interior design. With built works across North America and South Korea, Ian’s portfolio includes experiential retail, creative workplace, and boutique hospitality projects.

Ian’s practice puts emphasis on composing intentional materiality and atmosphere in each project to create a narrative-based spatial experience that speaks to the brand’s ethos. Specialising in concept development, schematic design, and material research, Ian is also a skilled project manager and documenter.

Ian holds a master’s degree in design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where he led a 2-year research project on the design of the contemporary and future workplace. His thesis is part of the design theses collection at British Columbia Electronic Library Network.

Ian’s work has been featured in Dezeen, Leibal, Architectural Digest Italia, Label Magazine, Office Snapshots, and Softer Volumes, and included in the Dezeen Awards Interiors Longlist, and Dezeen’s Top 10 Home Interiors of 2021.
