Ian Lee is a spatial designer and researcher based in Vancouver, Canada.
His process puts emphasis on discovering multifunctionality and modularity with refined visual coherence in everyday spaces and objects. With a background in interdisciplinary spatial design and brand experience research, his approach to design combines observational and analytical methods.
Ian holds a master’s degree in design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where he led a 2-year research project on the design of the contemporary and future workplace. His thesis is part of the design theses collection at British Columbia Electronic Library Network.
Ian’s work has been featured in Dezeen, Leibal, Architectural Digest Italia, Label Magazine, Office Snapshots, Treehugger, and Softer Volumes, and included in the Dezeen Awards Interiors Longlist, and Dezeen’s Top 10 Home Interiors of 2021.
